With Kat Blue, Carl Meiners and Bill Scletter
And David Kirzan
Brett Johnson bought the amp
I got electrocuted
That rare occasion that I hosted being the guitar player and not the drummer. This was the guitar of choice, as well as the Blue Brat. It was classic rock favorites. Kimberly had to rely on me playing guitar since nobody else was there.
I helped out Carl Meiners on a few songs. And managed to finally get Your Cheating Heart right.
Bill and I jammed to Knocking On Heaven's Door/Helpless and Please Come To Boston.
Kimberly and I did the usual songs.
The crowd was small (as always)
Jeff Brown came out to support.
That's about it.
Kimberly did get Ron LaFleur to help her out for her Red Frog debut on Saturday. In the meantime I got the Cabin Jam to deal with on that night. While there has been harsh criticism of me jumping in to help out Kim on the Checkers' open mic, it was a paying gig. If the price is right, I can help anybody out in need. It's what we call making a living the ole hard way. I wasn't exactly pleased about not being announced as part of the Checker's Open Mic, I still got paid being incognito.
All photos were taken by Kat Blue.
