Nothing like hitting 10 red lights in a row and dealing with crappy traffic. But in my final tune up at Whisky Jos' before next month getting back to work, I didn't work up much of a sweat to these half hour of songs to conclude the jam. Matt Panek played earlier and Terry pulled double duty. I don't think he saw me till I was heading out the door and introduced me for the next set of songs, so I couldn't leave.
There wasn't much of a tribute to Charlie Watts. Matt played It's All Over Now and Tommy did Beast of Burden earlier.
Donna Jo showed up and we did some songs to finish the set. She did a rare lead vocal on The One I Love. Outside of that, not much of a crowd.
No Kimberly either. Will she show up to support Dave and Julie's jam tomorrow night? Or Donna Jo? Or Hart/Parker? My money is on them being no shows.
Mark Moss played outdoors at the Chrome Horse. He got the crowd singing along but I really don't need to hear yet another version of Jack N Diane.
Tommy mentioned after we were done that this was a very enjoyable jam. When Tommy compliments like that, then it was a great jam.
Charlie would have been proud.
