For all the big deal bout not having a set list, we found the right songs and played them. And I didn't worry about having to play Wipe Out but we did end the set on a 10 minute free from romp on Free Bird. Alas, I broke a drum stick after Can't Get Enough, the first time I broke a stick playing for Blues Rox in the two years.
It was a nice warm sunny day but not too humid and we had a nice breeze keeping us somewhat cool. There was a couple of rough spots, a quick end to Whole Lotta Shaking and trying to throw up while playing Can't Get Enough for the 947th time but folks were taking in by our jam to Free Bird, dedicated to a friend of Brian and he wondered if we wanted to play it. I really didn't have a problem at all, and I think with Kris finding his way through the lead guitar after the final chorus is that he's getting better.
Russ is taking in the view, getting more comfortable being part of the band. Strange how the Paraphernalia rhythm section has gotten back together again. Hell, I always love having him on stage with me.
Brian singing to Free Bird I'm thinking. When he's playing alongside Kris on stage is when he's is the most happiest and proud dad. I've been part of their life off and on for four years running and I don't mind sitting in and playing the beats. It may sound like that they are making me go kicking and screaming into playing but when we do play, we get down to business.

I did miss out of seeing Corey Baker and Bad Dog 2020 with Tiffany Manhapey on drums, but saw Kat Blue and No Limits with Mike Williams and Bonnie Harrison helping out. Some guy than play guitar for a half hour and then a gospel singer popped up before we took the stage. My old school mate Doug Spinler and host Fred Stock played in their band Palomino and then Hart/Parker and Jules and Guitar Dave closed things out, with Rick Wengel on congas to finish. Cathy and Lorie fid a fun thing and invited Julie to sing with them on two songs, Proud Mary and All About that Bass. A reunion of the AcoustaKitties in a way.
Wicked Wizards didn't play due to Stu Fondle being part of the metal mania at Just Jules with Revenge Of The Mudkats, to which it looked like the crowd was nonexistent. A celebration for Denny Clift (with Four Day Creep, Superknot, Jett Thrett (with Karie Skogman) and others packed the Chrome Horse.
