Came into town on a emergency call and managed to stop over to Rumors to play a few songs with Kimberly and the same crew with the exception of Ed playing bass instead of Dave Bonham who is doggie sitting. DJ Hovenstot deferred so I got to take his place to play drums. A very hot n humid day, I passed on Stone City playing guitar and will return in two weeks to contribute something on guitar. Tim Canfield was the host bass player. A very small crowd, Bob Miller was the other drummer. So I got to play six songs. Call Me The Breeze started out improvised and Billy was yelling at me for something, play louder or faster, I don't know and he added the riff from T For Texas for fun and games. I was kinda winded from mowing beforehand and managed to wash my hair and throw some sort of body wash to smell better, but still smelled like a old Peppermint stick. Terry replaced the drumheads with something new and it had a warmer sound but I think I liked the other Evans heads better. Anyway, I think I need to get back to practicing more on drums too. A very ragged performance.
