"it was torture to me"

..and that cuts like a knife.

Bryan Adams couldn't sang it any better.

(Jeff Allen, Freddy Jones, Russ Swearingen looking onward)

What I thought was a nice weekend kayaking on the Wapsi was anything but that to the one that I have been seeing for over four years and I felt like I got thrown under the bus.  So I was in a bad mood all the way up to the first acoustic adventures showcase since March and I was as rusty as the bottom of my Corsica, rusting away in the yard.  It didn't help that the boom mic stand kept sliding down.  So I did two fucked up versions of Fox On The Run to which the final chorus fuck up.  I rehearse this song twice before I went out.  And still fucked it up once again.  Perhaps it is time to retire it?

Russ came out to support me tonight.  He was much needed since my other half has been miffed at me for the weekend excursions.  My poor guitar got the burnt of the anger into Behind Blue Eyes to which I managed to pull that one through for the first time.  I tried it a couple years ago at Whittier but Belinda James was the vocalist.  But this version tonight was the keeper.

Some things shouldn't be attempted, a poor Bob Dylan spoof on Satin Sheets and a spoof on  Short Dick Man.  But I concluded with a potent Cinnamon Girl.  to which Russ, Jim, MJ, Jeff, Mike both Patricks and Virginia remained.    Things ended around 10 15 PM.
